Better beef begins from the ground up

We believe that the path to better nutrition depends on the quality of the soil. Eliminating manufactured fertilizers and employing effective grazing management means soil can come alive again, and the impact on the health of the grass directly impacts the health and well-being of the animals, and the people who raise them and benefit from their nutrition.

Tradition, not convention

So much farming these days is based upon yield, as opposed to the nutritional value of its produce. Faster and faster growth for bigger and bigger animals. But this concept has clearly diluted the quality of the food available in our stores. The slow food movement matters. Better things take time, we're putting in that time, and our customers are impressed with the quality and taste of our beef. We're really proud of that, and of what we're doing to make it happen.
